Outdoor discovery has its own home
Velvet Explorer is the outdoor discovery product for public-access destinations, trail and park context, category-based browsing and trip tools. It is separate from Velvet Direct’s Walkie-first communication role.
Field and device development
Standalone PWA, location and category-based cluster presentation have passed selected development tests. Recent field work has focused on usable follow-position behavior, navigation presentation and outdoor discovery. Velvet Wayz retains road-navigation ownership.
Evidence before broad coverage claims
Nationwide data expansion, additional field testing, capture privacy and account persistence remain open work. A discoverable point of interest is not a guarantee of legal public access or safe route conditions.
Current status. Active development and bounded device/field testing. Full nationwide destination coverage, generalized outdoor navigation and launch acceptance are not certified.
