One schedule across three spaces
Velvet Room is developing one owner-controlled calendar across Social, Friends and Work. The October 14 R419C–R420 releases brought the recorded appointments from all three modes into each calendar, with color cues for Social, Friends and Work, while keeping legacy appointments neutral where their source cannot be verified.
An assistive calendar inside conversations
The latest R421–R423B updates add a compact scheduling interface within individual message threads. A newly arriving message proposing a meeting time can show a small calendar prompt. Members can inspect a day, consider a different time or date, and prepare a time-zone-qualified response without leaving the conversation.
The user stays in control
Confirming a proposed time prepares an unsent reply; it does not automatically message someone, create a booking, reserve a free slot or charge a customer. Some historical appointments lack duration, so an unmarked time cannot be promised as available. Private session data is intended for the authenticated owner, not the conversation counterpart.
Current release boundary
The interface is live on the development website and passed reported browser and source checks, but full signed-in Android WP55 and two-account privacy testing remains outstanding. Real free appointment booking and paid bookings have separate consent, conflict-prevention and financial requirements before activation.
Current status. Public development access. Scheduling suggestions are draft-only; real booking and unrestricted launch certification remain pending.
