Create and discover are different experiences
Velvet Studios is the creator product, while Radio is its connected listening experience. Development distinguishes creator-approved discovery samples from the longer-form catalog available to authorized Radio beta accounts. A preview in discovery should not silently become unrestricted access to a full recording.
Smoother song-to-song playback
The October 13 R77 update implements ten-second Radio transitions using Web Audio gain curves with an audio-volume fallback. The verified station migration preserved 40 existing program entries. Reported browser and media-range checks confirm the intended split between beta Radio full songs and sample-only discovery.
More testing before wider access
The exact audible transition and background behavior still need testing on actual Android and iPhone/PWA devices. Marketplace purchases, public creator publishing, creator payouts and subscription billing are not activated by these audio improvements.
What comes next
The focus remains listening reliability, correct access boundaries and usable creator tools before opening paid commerce. Progress in a beta music player is not certification of a finished public marketplace.
Current status. Restricted signed-in Radio beta; full marketplace, publishing and payment launch remain held.
